Message Your argument is compelling, but the obvious conclusion is that sizing is important.What you have shown is that the GT2860's are bigger than you should choose for this application. Is an older t series turbo thats the right size for your application probably better than a GT turbo that's too large for your application? sure. Obviously sizing is crucial to getting the performance you are looking for.

If you take the improper sizing for use out of the equation, you get the fact that Sport 530's DECIMATE the performance of sport 500's in every regard. Spool, area under curve, top end. They are just plain better as one would expect of a turbo that represents 20 years of technological evolution from the same company AND is not a hack like the 500's/600's.
